Please note: Bring safety gear and weapons appropriate for each class. Some weapons will be available for purchase from vendors onsite during camp.

Kid's Classes**

Master Nikki Alayra

Kid's Tae Kwon Do
Young participants (12 & under) will learn the kicks, blocks, punches and stances that form the foundation of Tae Kwon Do. After being introduced to the basic techniques, students will learn how to incorporate what they have learned into forms and light sparring drills designed to improve concentration and coordination.

Kid's Jujitsu
Young participants (12 & under) will learn Jujitsu techniques from Prof. Okazaki's Children's Program.

Kid's Judo
Young participants (12 & under) will learn and practice basic Judo techniques including an overview of Judo competition, throws, matwork, footwork & strategy. Whack-a-mole techniques and drills will be incorporated.

Kid's Sparring
Young participants (12 & under) will learn Sparring combination techniques and how to put a combination together that works for them.

Kid's Sumo
Young participants (12 & under) will learn off balancing and hand techniques used in Sumo ending with a chance to try their skills in a tournament setting..

Kid's Cardio Kombat Obstacle Course
Young participants (12 & under) will utilize the skills they learned this weekend in a cardio/self defense situation. Cardio Vascular training will be emphasized throughout the obstacle course. We will incorporate soft weapons for each student to use. This course will teach balance and coordination in a self defense oriented activity.

Camp Staff/Black Belts

Forms & Self Defense Kata
All are invited to present their form (kata) in front of black belts/instructors to receive constructive feed back in order to polish your presentation. This is a great opportunity for students to have individual attention in preparation for a test or competition.

R-A-W Power - Self Defense 101 / The Art of the Wolf (Co-ed)
In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to practice all of the most important aspects of any real world encounter. Awareness, distance, verbal boundaries, weapons defense and getting to safety. We will also give interested participants a chance to practice an effective 'woof" or verbal attack that often accompanies real attacks, a skill that can be integrated into all forms of martial training.

Dynamics of Kicking & Stretching
Come and discover the deep stretching that allows martial artists to effortlessly kick to head level and beyond. Once we go through these dynamic stretches and get the legs and body properly warmed up we will engage in a series of kicks that will aide any martial artist. Experience the devastating effect that kicking can have as we explore the front, round, hook, and crescent kicks. All levels will benefit. All levels welcome.

The combination of styles that make up Kajukenbo; Korean Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Kenpo, and Kung Fu give martial artists the opportunity to continuously expand their horizons and offers the benefit of recognizing and training in several martial arts styles.

Learn more of the techniques that work on the street. What to do, Where, when, and how to strike. Experience the difference between the pushing power of the fist versus the penetrating damage through the whipping motion of the open hand strike

Kenpo - Mass Attack
Kenpo Karate is an art which emphasizes specific self defense techniques as an integral part of our training. In this class students will learn several different self-defense techniques and, time permitting, a Kenpo Kata. This class is great for all who wish to add more self- defense techniques to their own martial arts training. Students will learn some of the basic principles of self-defense, including several �two opponent� techniques. This class is especially good for martial artists who want to add a couple of more "tools to their toolboxes"

Specific treatments used in Danzan Ryu massage routine will be practiced.

Judo Tachiwaza
We will go over a selection of throws and takedowns, the principles of Kuzushi (off balancing) and then finish with some Randori (free practice). The class will be tailored to the experience in the class, so no experience necessary. A Gi top is preferred as is the ability to fall correctly.
